Why did Anne Hanson leave the New York fashion industry to start designing knitwear?

Anne Hanson is a knitwear designer based out of Ohio. Her beautiful lace patterns are famous and can be seen on Knitty.com, Twist Collective, and numerous other knitting publications. After working in the fashion industry in New York City, Anne and her husband, David, left the city and eventually started the popular blog, Knitspot.com. Anne now travels the country teaching at major fiber arts event such as Sock Summit and Knit Nation, and just launched her first club, the Fall in Full Color Club.

Nice interview. A book by Ann would be wonderful, but it is encouraging to hear that there are artists willing to move beyond the 'box'. Liking the new format and looking forward to more interviews.
